Biography
Nelwati, S.Kp., MN., PhD, is a professor in nursing education at Universitas Andalas, specializing in the nursing process, critical thinking, and research methodology. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Universitas Indonesia, a Master's from Monash University, and a PhD from University Malaya. Her academic focus centers on fulfilling basic human needs through effective nursing practices, fostering professional competence, and instilling core professional values.
In her leadership role as the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Andalas (2020-2024), Nelwati has made significant contributions to academic and educational advancement. She has also played a pivotal role in the Faculty’s third international conference, further enhancing its reputation on the global stage. Her research interests are closely tied to peer learning and professional competence, striving to improve the nursing profession through education.
