Biography

Prof. Hema Malini is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of nursing. With a strong background in nursing education and research, she has significantly contributed to the development of nursing practices and health education, particularly in the areas of chronic diseases and endocrinology. Her academic journey spans notable institutions, including Universitas Indonesia

and Monash University, for her masters and PhD, where she deepened her expertise in nursing systems and methodologies. As the former Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Andalas, she continues to advance the nursing profession through leadership, mentorship, and international collaboration.

Prof. Hema Malini has made significant contributions to the development of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Andalas, particularly through her leadership in organizing the Faculty's International Conference. She has also fostered vital international collaborations, working closely with global teams to promote nursing education and research. As the Head of the Faculty of Nursing Universitas Andalas Journal, she has been instrumental in the journal's development and its achievement of Shinta accreditation, bringing national and international recognition to the institution.

Her dedication extends to her leadership role as the Head of AINEC Regional (West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, Batam), where she has been an advocate for advancing nursing curricula at a national level in Indonesia. She has contributed to shaping nursing education policies that align with international standards and meet the evolving needs of the healthcare system.
