Dr. Ns. Deswita is a distinguished academic in the field of pediatric nursing, specializing in both healthy and ill children, including acute and chronic conditions. She also has expertise in disaster nursing and is a strong advocate for improving the growth and development of children, particularly through addressing their nutritional needs and public health concerns. Dr. Deswita has contributed significantly to the advancement of nursing education, currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Andalas (2024-2029). She previously served as the Vice Head of the Maternal/Pediatric Nursing Department from 2020 to 2024.
